How To Make The Most Amazing Body Butter (and it’s easy!)

Hey Sexy!

This body butter should come with a warning: Don’t eat this!

I had to give you a heads-up because it smells exactly like white chocolate, and you’ll be tempted to grab a spoonful!

Besides its delicious smell, this body butter is pure nourishing indulgence for the skin. And you’re worth it! What you put on your body matters as much as what you put in your body. I slather this body butter on after my shower while my skin is still damp.  It absorbs quickly, leaving skin smooth, soft, and nourished. It’s perfect for dry and sensitive skin and also wonderful for babies. Here’s the recipe (and its easy even for beginner DIYers):

  • 1/4 cup unrefined shea butter
  • 1/4 cup raw cocoa butter
  • 1/4 cup organic unrefined coconut oil
  • 1/4 cup jojoba oil
  • 10-20 drops essential oil (peppermint is great with the chocolate!)

Combine all ingredients, except the essential oils, in a small pot or double boiler.

Gently melt and stir over medium-low heat until the mixture is liquid.

Remove from the heat and allow the mixture to partially set up in the refrigerator.

Once the mixture is partially set and opaque (don’t allow it to fully solidify), add the essential oils of your choice, and whip with a hand mixer or stand mixer until the body butter is fluffy and stiff peaks have formed (about 2-3 minutes).

Spoon the finished body butter into a cute little jar.  Keep it for yourself or give it away as a gift and impress people with your DIY skills!
